Iliza Shlesinger, a Jewish American whose parents raised her in Dallas before she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in comedy, was born in New York in 1983. There, she joined up with a troupe of comics and sharpened her skills alongside them.
Her path led her to competitions like Myspace's "So You Think You're Funny" in 2007 and NBC's "Last Comic Standing" in 2008, both of which she won. Iliza Shlesinger has quickly become one of the most remarkable comedians of our time, and with her talents, it should come as no surprise that she is often cited as selling out shows whenever she comes to town. Her comedy specials, including "Elder Millennial" and "War Paint," became smash hits by tackling a wide range of topics from relationships to social norms, and with her unique perspective, audiences cannot help but laugh out loud.
