Soul artists Tamia & Joe are on their way to sing live at the DAR Constitution Hall on Friday, February 9th, as part of their brief 15-date spring tour that premieres on the mentioned date. The trek will visit cities like Cleveland, Brooklyn, Atlanta, Baltimore, Las Vegas, and more before ending in St. Louis in May.
Tamia, a six-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, views music as an integral aspect of her identity, stating, “Music is just a part of me and everything I do, every step that I take.” And considering that she has been in the industry for over two decades, the Canadian-born vocalist is certainly one of the most well-loved voices in R&B music today.
She released her latest album, Passion Like Fire, in September after a five-year hiatus. This album produced the No. 1 hit Leave It Smokin', which dominated R&B radio and garnered over 10 million streams on Spotify. Despite this success, Tamia has not announced any definite plans for a new album as of now.
Meanwhile, R&B artist Joe dropped his latest album, #MyNameIsJoeThomas, making its debut at number sixteen on the Billboard charts. The record featured the successful single "So I Can Have You Back," reaching the top of Billboard's Adult R&B Airplay chart. Additionally, it included Joe's rendition of Adele's popular ballad "Hello."
“Many artists at times say that their current project is their best piece of work to date; however, I can honestly say that this truly is not only my best but also one of my favorite discs ever,” Joe mentioned.
While Joe has retired from releasing albums, the seven-time Grammy nominee continues to engage and entertain his fans through consistent live performances and tours. Recently, he participated in Maxwell's Night Tour alongside Anthony Hamilton, and during the summer, Joe co-headlined the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Juneteenth UNITYFEST Concert with Stokley.
The DAR Constitution Hall is Washington DC’s largest concert hall that invites more than half a million patrons each year. Designed to house the annual DAR convention, this venue can accommodate 3,700 people, making it the definitive spot to catch these soul artists in a performance that will soothe audiences all night long!
