Pablo Alboran is a dominant figure in the Spanish acoustic pop scene. His style of acoustics combines flamenco sensibilities and heartfelt lyrics. His love songs have made many people swoon throughout the years. Apart from Spain, he also garners attention internationally. He has six studio albums and two live albums under his belt. He also has been nominated for the Grammys and the Latin Grammys multiple times.
Pablo Moreno de Alborán Ferrándiz grew up with enthusiasm for music. Because of this, he is adept in multiple instruments, like the piano, classical guitar, flamenco guitar, and acoustic guitar. This also pushed him to train in singing at a young age. When he turned 12, he composed songs entitled "Amor de Barrio" (Neighbourhood Love) and "Desencuentro" (Disagreement). He then started performing with a flamenco band. With the band, he gained the nickname El Blanco Moreno (The White Moreno) because he has pale skin and has Moreno as a surname. As if the stars had aligned for him, he met with producer Manuel Illán, who supported him towards his debut.
Before realizing his first album, Alboran wrote 40 songs. Thirteen out of the 40 songs then became part of his self-titled debut in 2011. This release was a huge success, thanks to his prior viral videos singing. The next year, his sophomore Tanto came out with praises and commercial success. It went on to receive ten times platinum certifications. His third album, Terral, became an international hit in 2014. He rose into the charts in Portugal, US Latin, and US Latin Pop while consistently topping the Spanish music chart.
After taking a break for two years, he released his fourth album, Prometo, in 2017, a double gold and six times platinum record. His next release did not come out right until the latter part of 2020. Vertigo was an international hit and managed to gain nominations for the Grammys and Latin Grammys. Going back to his two-year pace, he released La Cuarta Hoja in 2022.
